Estimating Assistant/Takeoff Technician
Duties shall include: quantity takeoffs for earthworks and materials,
by hand and computer-aided; quote/proposal solicitation; and data entry into
bidding software.
Qualifications:
- Excellent math skills
- Ability to interpret specifications and blueprints
- Ability to organize multiple assignments
- Computer literate
- Directly related education and/or experience
EQR is now hiring a Construction Craft Apprentice! During the
two year course of the program, the apprentice will receive field and classroom
training related to heavy construction, including layout, excavation, MOT,
maintenance and use of equipment, sediment and erosion control. The program is
tailored to EQR’s work in stream restoration, wetlands mitigation, shoreline
stabilization and storm water management facilities.
The apprenticeship is registered with the Maryland Department of Labor and
Licensing. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the
program.
High School diploma or equivalent, valid DL and transportation to work required.
Project Manager North Carolina
EQR, a leader in environmental construction, has an immediate opening for a
Project Manager to oversee upcoming projects through out the southeast, starting
in the Raleigh/Durham area. Ideal candidates will be willing to travel
throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, be able to work without
daily supervision and be able to handle multiple assignments at different
jobsites.
Responsibilities include:
- Overall responsibility for the success of assigned projects.
- Understanding and directing the contract conditions and
scope of work in the field.
- Develop and maintain construction schedule.
- Develop and maintain monthly pay requisitions.
- Collects and prepares necessary quality assurance/quality
control reports.
- Ensures compliance with all contract conditions.
- Serves as main contact between project owner, EQR Corporate
and field staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years progressive experience in construction, previous
stream restoration work a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and
ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to physically inspect all job sites and assist
with heavy lifting.
- Computer literate
This position will be based in Raleigh-Durham, NC and includes regular travel.
